Assisting by bringing container with medication to the service user Prompting or reminding to take medication Checking or observing medication has been taken Applying topical creams and locations that are available over the counter Dispensing medication from a dosing pack prepared by the pharmacists Removing single medication from a blister pack or container Recording medication as taken Other medication tasks only in agreement with shared care protocols after training and supervision by the district nurse, this will include use of inhalers or eye drops and applying prescription cream
Dealing with spillage of general household substances Mopping floors Dusting and polishing area within reach Vacuuming General tidying of kitchen and bathroom areas where work may be carried out Washing up after use of crockery etc Making or changing beds Laundry Intensive cleaning only if assessed and agreed before hand
Bible study, prayer, Shopping and pension collection when agreed by the company and the correct arrangements have been made Preparing of meals to a basic culinary standard or heating prepared frozen meals Helping complete food or shopping orders for delivery Sitting service, including over night in an emergency, if staff available to do so Promoting independence by assisting with day to day activities, making appointments etc and recording on calendar Other tasks may be agreed under the shared care protocols with the required training & documentation in place.
